Who are we?

The Canterbury Initiative (CI) began as the Canterbury DHB Referral Project in August 2007, and has since evolved into a way of working that is achieving significant change in the way health is being delivered across Canterbury.

The Initiative was set up by Carolyn Gullery, General Manager Planning & Funding at Canterbury DHB. The small team, collaborates with Planning and Funding, and community, primary & secondary care clinicians to:

  • facilitate workstreams
  • address and progress issues and opportunities that arise in the workstreams
